Building Patient Trust with AIDET^SM materials

The training module comes with two DVDs featuring AIDET^SM skills used in real patient settings. Each training segment is labeled for specific areas of interest. DVD one focuses on the outpatient setting and DVD two provides inpatient scenarios. Following each patient and provider interaction, a brief discussion of what worked well and what could have been done differently is provided by Gerald Hickson, M.D., Vanderbilt University. Dr. Hickson has researched and published extensively in the area of provider and patient communication and gives excellent insight to each segment of the DVD.

The AIDET^SM training package includes a third disc with facilitator materials to create and lead AIDET^SM workshops in your partner organizations. Print the facilitator guide first to understand how to maximize the benefit of all the tools provided.
